As the moon passes through her 28-29 day cycle many subtle changes and effects are experienced on our planet and its life forms. Even though we may not be aware of this the phases of the moon in conjunction with the star signs will have an effect emotionally, intellectually and biologically. Phases and aspects change relatively quickly and even a change in hour can bring about a new influence.
The moon interacts not only gravitationally with the earth, but also astrologically with the planets in our solar system and the star signs within our galaxy. Modern lifestyles have devalued the need for connectivity and appreciation of these factors; Artificial lighting, arbitrary time systems and a demanding hectic pace of living, leave us driven by timetables and constraints that have little or no sympathy for the natural cycles in nature.
Astrology can only ever be a 'guide' in our lives. We are never compelled, but as we become more sensitive to the subtle whispers of the universe, we begin to notice that the rest of nature is already in tune with many cycles and rhythms that are influenced from beyond our physical realm ... It's only us humans that are out of touch !
We have spent "many Moons" researching this Moon Calendar. Experiencing first hand some of the natural wisdom and understanding that our forbears had regarding the cycles of the moon in conjunction with the star signs. It was an essential part of their existence, for successful food production, health and as a guide to events and behaviour in nature. In our Moon Calendar we have undertaken to present some of this ancient wisdom in a modern electronic format that is attractive in style, informative, practical to use and relevant today.
This Moon Calendar page will always be 'work in progress'. We use it ourselves and will modify the scripts as we learn, grow and experience.
